As an ambitious Principal Consultant, you will work in Arthian’s Development Group in a collaborative environment, working with Arthian’s in-house technical teams to provide solutions to our clients. You will relish the business-environment challenge of finding opportunities, winning work, delivering impactful projects, developing people, mentoring junior staff and growing a team.
We are seeking to recruit a Principal Consultant, ideally from a consultancy background to lead and grow our peatland and Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) service area for the UK and Ireland. The successful applicant will be required to develop and maintain effective working relationships across various teams in the organisation (including hydrology, geotechnical and ecology disciplines) and foster collaborative working practices.
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record and passion for team leadership and operational delivery (e.g. scheduling, resource management, people development and customer relationship management). The ideal candidate will possess an Honours or Masters Degree in environmental science, hydrology, geology or similar, and have a have a full U.K. (or equivalent) driving licence. Attainment or in the process of attaining professional chartership(s) of a relevant professional body would be viewed favourably.
You will be comfortable with proposal and tender writing, have a successful track record of winning and managing contracts to agreed commercial arrangements, have a strong business network and be experienced in customer retention.
